Browning Gallery

Join us for an unforgettable evening in the Browning Gallery as we celebrate our rich local history through the eyes of our talented youth! In collaboration with the Vanderburgh County Historical Society, Willard Public Library proudly presents a special premiere event featuring documentary shorts created by students from F.J. Reitz High School’s program, Feel the History.

This premiere event is your opportunity to witness these budding historians and filmmakers' work, support their efforts, and engage with our shared past in a new and exciting way. Each documentary short will be screened in the library's gallery, providing an intimate and inspiring setting for this showcase.

The titles of the shorts premiering are:

Evansville goes to War: Life at the Evansville Shipyard during World War II

The 1972 Bosse Field Freedom Festival: The One that Really Rocked

Mesker Park Zoo: Its Revolutionary Bar-less Exhibits

Tastes of Evansville: Burgoo and Pon Haus

Come and be a part of this enriching experience and meet the student creators, as we honor the past and celebrate the future of historical storytelling. Don't miss this chance to connect with our community and support the next generation of historians!

Admission is free, and all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
