Contest Rules

1. Eligibility:

   - The contest is open to all patrons aged 18 and older.

   - Patrons must purchase at least $20 worth of merchandise from the Willard Public Library online store to qualify.

   - Only purchases made between September 1 and September 30 are eligible for entry.

 

2. Entry:

   - For every $20 spent, patrons will receive one entry into the contest.

   - Entries are automatically generated at the time of purchase. No additional steps are needed from the patron.

 

3. Prize:

   - 1 winner will be selected to receive an exclusive paranormal investigation at Willard Public Library for themselves and up to 4 guests.

   - The paranormal investigation includes access to all public areas of the library including areas known for paranormal activity.

   - The library will provide basic amenities such as water and bathrooms. Additional comforts such as drinks, snacks, etc. should be brought by guests.

   - Ghost-hunting equipment can be brought, but it must be approved by library staff in advance.

 

4. Investigation Details:

   - The paranormal investigation will take place on Halloween, October 31, 2024. Willard Public Library reserves the right to change the date of the paranormal investigation with 1 or more days’ notice.

   - Participants must adhere to all library rules and respect the space during their visit.

   - The library reserves the right to end the investigation early if rules are violated.

   - Investigation will take place from 8PM and 2AM.

 

5. Winner Selection:

   - 1 winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries on October 1, 2024.

   - Winner will be notified via the contact information provided at the time of purchase.

   - If a winner cannot be reached within seven days of the drawing, a new winner will be selected.

 

6. General Conditions:

   - All decisions by the library regarding the contest are final.

   - The library reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest at any time.

   - By participating, entrants agree to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

 

7. Liability:

   - The library is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or paranormal experiences that may occur during the overnight investigation.

   - Winner and their guests must sign a liability waiver and return by the day before the overnight investigation.
